Recently, witnessed by Guo Ziping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the signing ceremony of the "International Joint Research Center for Mineral Resources and Efficient Development" jointly established by Sunwoda, China University of Mining and Technology, and Catholic University of Salta, Argentina, was held in Argentina.

Daniel Sánchez Fernández, Vice Chancellor of Catholic University of Salta, Xiao Dong, Executive Director of the International Joint Research Center at China University of Mining and Technology, and Liang Rui, Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Sunwoda, signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties. Rodolfo Gallo Cornejo, Chancellor of Catholic University of Salta, attended the ceremony.

The joint research center aims to leverage the advantages of the three parties, focusing on various forms of cooperation in the geological exploration of mineral resources, resource development, safe mining, ecologically sustainable mining, and the preparation of advanced materials from mineral resources such as lithium and copper. It aims to build an international high-level laboratory and a talent development hub, achieve green and efficient development of mineral resources in Argentina, inject new vitality into talent exchange, technology development, and industrial cooperation between China and Argentina, and create more benefits for the people of both countries.

The platform will also cooperate in depth with the Shenzhen Zhongqing Xinda New Energy Battery Technology Research Institute initiated by Sunwoda, jointly promoting the efficient transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In the future, it is expected that the three parties will jointly explore efficient utilization methods of mineral resources, promote the sustainable development of the new energy industry, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a green, low-carbon global energy system.
