1、Don’t change the charger frequently

Various electric balance bike manufacturers generally personalize their chargers, and each charger will have different inputs for their brand of battery. If the range requirement is long, you will have to have multiple chargers for the purpose of off-site charging, using another supplemental charger during the day and the original charger at night. Removing the speed limit from the controller will increase the speed of some cars, but it will also reduce the life of the battery in addition to decreasing the safety of the car.

2. Stay away from extreme temperatures

Normal electric scooters perform well in a wide range of ambient temperatures, with between 16 and 22 being the ideal temperature band for maximum battery performance. It’s especially important to keep your battery out of places where the ambient temperature is higher than 35, as this can damage the battery’s capacity. In this case, your battery will not be able to power your device for long periods of time after charging. Charging your device in a hot environment may further damage it. Even storing the battery in a high temperature environment may cause irreparable damage.

3.When storing, keep the battery half charged.

If you are going to go a few days without riding your electric scooter, there are two key factors that will affect the overall operating condition of the battery: the ambient temperature and the percentage of the battery that was charged before it was disconnected and stored. Therefore, we recommend the following:

(1) Do not fully charge or fully discharge the battery; it is best to charge the battery at about 50%. If you store the device in a state where the battery is fully depleted, the battery may fall into a state of deep discharge, with the consequence that it cannot be recharged. On the other hand, if you store a fully charged device for a long period of time, you may lose part of the battery capacity, which may shorten the battery life.

(2) Place the device in a cool, non-humid environment, preferably at a temperature below 35 degrees Celsius.

(3) If you plan to store the device for a month or more, it is better to achieve deep discharge once a month.
