As global battery regulations continue to evolve, requirements such as supply chain due diligence, lifecycle data management, and Digital Battery Passport development are reshaping expectations for battery manufacturers. For companies serving international customers, supply chain transparency is no longer only a compliance topic, but a practical capability that supports global market access, customer trust, and long-term competitiveness.

Against this backdrop, Mr. Liang highlighted Sunwoda’s practices in three key areas:

Supplier Qualification: Sunwoda has established a whitelist mechanism for cobalt raw material suppliers, integrating internationally recognized standards such as RMI and RMAP into supplier qualification and classification management. This helps embed sustainability requirements into the early stages of procurement and supply chain management.

Critical Mineral Traceability: Sunwoda is working with partners across the value chain to enhance the traceability, verifiability, and data reliability of mineral source information. These efforts support greater transparency across the cobalt supply chain and provide a stronger data foundation for due diligence management and Digital Battery Passport development.

ESG Audit and Corrective Action: Through on-site audits, risk classification, corrective action tracking, and third-party verification, Sunwoda is strengthening closed-loop supply chain risk management. This approach helps translate responsible sourcing from policy commitments into measurable and verifiable practices.
